FC Nantes: Ignatius Ganago extends with the Canaries

  • FC Nantes striker Ignatius Ganago has signed a one-season contract extension. He is now under contract with the Canaries until June 2027

Following the refusal of a loan offer with option to purchase from Trabzonspor during the last days of the transfer window, FC Nantes decided to extend the contract of its striker Ignatius Ganago. The Cameroonian international, who has 14 caps, has signed for an additional season, keeping him linked to the club until June 2027, as announced by the club this Wednesday.ADVERTISEMENT

The adventure continues 

After joining FC Nantes last summer from Lens, Ignatius Ganago scored 6 goals in all competitions during the previous season. He was unfortunately absent for the first two days of the championship this season due to a hamstring injury, but he returned to competition during the match against Monaco (3-3) on August 25.

He played an active role in the club’s last-gasp survival last season. He played 30 games and scored 5 times.
