Bernardo Silva has been linked with a move to Barcelona on several occasions in the past and the rumor mill is convinced the Manchester City star is still dreaming of the Catalans.

Diario Sport are reporting that Bernardo is in fact “crazy” about Barcelona and is thinking about calling time on his City career this summer with a view to heading for Catalunya.

Bernardo thinks he’d fit “perfectly” at Barcelona and his family would also be happy to swap Manchester for a new life in Spain.

Of course financial issues may prevent any such move. Bernardo has a 50 million release clause in his contract that puts him out of the Catalans’ reach currently.

Yet Mundo Deportivo are also feeling hopeful. They think Barca could potentially return to the 1:1 rule this summer if they can secure a new kit deal with Nike and find an alternative investor to Libero. A big player sale is also a possibility too.

Such investment would go a long way to helping out the club’s financial situation and MD reckon if such moves come off then Bernardo is at the top of the club’s shopping list.
